I just purchased a Toshiba A305-s6858 Laptop computer at the Albuquerque Best Buy for 502.99. I had not been shopping for a computer at all but needed an external hard drive to take to London with me. I had no idea about current computer prices but the price seemed really great. Now that I am home and shopped around online it seems as a hot deal. Best Buy’s website shows current online price of 799.99. Other websites show even higher up to 949.00. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5750; 4 gig of ram; 320GB hard drive; and a built in 1.3 megapixel camera. These are not refurbished units. The Albuquerque store on Eubank had 5 more after I bought mine. Feel free to criticize my deal as I have no idea of current computer specs and prices. Oh and since I am a true Fat Walleter (fat Walletist?) the only reason I went there was that I had 3 hundred dollar gift cards that I had in my pocket for over 4 years! In 4 years I could never find any value there haha. Here is a link to the online page but the store is 502.99. No coupons or rebates. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8897642&st=a305&lp=2&type=product&cp=1&id=1212192350309

Fry’s B&M ad for Seattle/Renton shows the Diamond ATI HD 4850 for $179.99 after Instant Rebate of $20.
SKU# 5640781
Link to Frys.com Newegg Link to Diamond HD 4850 Product Page on diamondmm.com
Newegg has it for $164.99 after $25 MIR ($184.99 - $25) with free shipping… But if you want to run to the local store for instant gratification for $15 more and not have to deal with a $25 MIR…
I already have one ATI 4850 (Visiontek version) and these cards are WICKED.
Cheers, Eemrek
P.S. I’m waiting for the other area ads for Fry’s (e.g. San Jose… DFW, etc.) to see if the local areas are having the same deal. $179.99 price *MIGHT* be reflected on-line later in the day.

Being the proud owner of new Sony Alpha A100K DSLR from this deal I started shopping for accessories and found the:
Tamron 18 - 200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR DI-II LD Aspherical (IF) AF Zoom Lens with Macro for $279 at Adorama.. Mfr. Part: AF014M700
This lens currently has TWO manufacturer rebates totaling $105.00. Price after rebates: $174.00 (37% off)! The price before the rebates is good (MSRP is $400), but 37% off is worth starting a new topic. If you’re QUICK you can pick the lens up at Amazon for the same price w/free shipping - but they only have 2 left in stock. Tamron is a respected lens maker in Japan. Sony owns 11% of Tamron.
$75.00 Mfr Rebate from May 1, 2008 - Jul 31, 2008
$30.00 Mfr Rebate from Jul 10, 2008 - Aug 31, 2008
Note: Manufacturer won’t pay rebates unless the lens was purchased from an authorized dealer. Amazon and Adorama are both on the list.
Good reviews

I just learned from Dish Network that there is a $25 rebate from showtime, so did a search and found an existing deal but according to that it is supposed to expire on 3/31/08, but apparently they extended the promotion to the end of the year and so I thought some folks will be benefited by reposting it (instead of updating the same old thread).

Typically, these are “loss-leader” deals for Fry’s just to get people into their B&M stores. Sometimes they’ll show up on-line but rarely.

Couple things:
1. You can perform the BSEL mod (e.g. copper tape, conductive pen, etc.) to the Intel Celeron 430 w/ECS 945GCT-M/1333 to raise the FSB from 200 to 266 to clock the CPU @ 2.4GHz with stock HSF and stock voltage. 2. ECS GF7050VT-M’s have BSEL select options in the BIOS to change the FSB (200, 266, 333, etc.) e.g. The E7200 w/GF7050VT-M will OC on that board from 266 FSB to 333 FSB (333×9.5 = 3.16GHz). All you need is standard DDR2-667. 3. MSI P43 Neo3-F (SKU# 5647611) has a $10 MIR located here, directly from MSI. Valid 7/1/08 through 7/31/08. 4. MSI PN7 SLI-FI (SKU# 5647601) has a $20 MIR located here, directly from MSI. Valid 7/1/08 through 7/31/08. 5. I do not know if the AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ is a Windsor or Brisbane core. Always assume the older core (e.g. Windsor). These are typically OEM CPU’s with no retail HSF from Fry’s B&M. The Thermaltake TR2-R1 works well with these. 6. The Intel Q9300 with MSI PN SLI-FI bundle only saves you $10 from Newegg.com prices (even with MIR as Newegg.com also has a valid $20 MIR for the same MSI board). Please keep this in mind if you’re thinking about this bundle. (However, there is $8.97 S/H on the MSI board, but if you can avoid taxes, Newegg would be the better deal in the end).
–Why do I use links to Newegg on this post?
1. So you can see the Newegg price and read the reviews. 2. Newegg usually puts a link directly to the vendor’s page by clicking “Manufacturer Info” tab near the bottom left and then clicking on “Manufacturer Product Page”. That way you can see, “i. Comparable Pricing from Newegg; ii. User Reviews on the Product; iii. Direct link to the manufacturer’s page if you want more info from the manufacturer.”
I’ll leave it up to “each their own” to decide which deal is the best, but the Intel C2D E7200 and ECS GF7050VT-M is a decent one. The combo deal is:
1. $119.99 which the CPU itself is $129.99 on Newegg. 2. It’s been the *RETAIL* box in the past. 3. The ECS board can be set to 333 FSB bringing your E7200 close to E8500 speeds (3.16 GHz) with about 5-10% performance hit due to the smaller L2 cache (3MB vs. 6MB). Only other difference between the E7200 OC’ed and E8500 is support for Intel Virtualization. Stock HSF works fine.
Good luck!
EDIT: For Reference- Seattle/Renton 4 Page Ad Flyer for July 11th, 2008 through July 15th, 2008, PDF format. [MegaUpload Link] — PDF’s inside ZIP.
*** ADDTIONAL REBATE INFORMATION ON MSI BOARDS ***
Initially, I was worried that the terms and conditions on the MSI rebates state that the “offer cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions and the item must be sold at retail price”. The Seattle area and Dallas area ads did NOT state there was a valid rebate for the combo’s, *BUT* the Fry’s Ad in the San Jose Mercury News specifically mentions the $20 MIR on the ad for the Intel Q9300 bundle with MSI P7N SLI-FI.

Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio “Tuner”
highlights:
1) it’s not a really a “radio”, instead it is just a “tuner” to be used with your AV amplifier/receiver. However it has all the components a stand-alone radio has (even a remote control), sans speakers, and you can hook it up to a pair of powered/unpowered speakers, if it takes RCA stereo input or 3.5mm mini plug(need a conversion cable) 2) $50 unadvertized rebate from HDRadio.com

Looks like a good deal at PCConnection.com.
To those post nazzi, I know people were getting double rebates buying this one from Costco back in October (final price $299), but looks like it was a major hastle. So as of now it looks like a decent deal for a 1280 x 1024 brand name projector.

Have been looking for this printer for a while as i have been using samsung printer for last four years and have had no issues and now that i have switched to Linux for past two years i needed a printer i can configure for linix and this one fit the bill for my requirements of printer , copier , Fax , Scanner.
I think i can use printer and copier out of the box and will have to work to get the scanner and fax working.

Hey Guys,
I’ve been waiting to pull the trigger on this thing for a while, as I have been in need of another USB Hub. I’ve had this one for a while now, and it has served me great, but I wanted to pay under 20 bucks for it again.
Finally, Newegg has dropped the 4.99 shipping charge on this item (for now at least), so the way it works is as follows:
DUB-H7 = $26.49 -$10 Mail in Rebate (D-Link Rebates have always been reliable from my experience)
Net price = $16.49 shipped and no tax unless you live in CA/NJ.
This is a great deal, on a great product IMHO. By the way, the hub IS powered externally, not purely bus powered.
Oh, and before someone comes in here and says that this doesn’t work on Vista, they are wrong. It does. I am using it on a Vista computer as we speak, and it is fully loaded with 2 external HDs, a laser printer, an All-in-one printer, usb flash drive, wireless keyboard/mouse, and my digital camera.
Have a great day everyone! -billion

here
After rebate and getting 10 percent back with Office Depot advantage card. I know it seems expensive for a corded keyboard, but if you’ve never tried a split keyboard, you’re definitely missing out. Its soooo comfortable. I’m using it right now, I saw a rather large stack of them when I bought it. Its $47 on Newegg.

OOS Online, but I believe you can order for instore pickup. Saw it on SD and have been watching for a rebate. No rebate this time
So, tax for some, and free in store pickup. I figure it’s not going to be everywhere, thus the YMMV

This has been a deal in the past, but a new Amazon rebate is up. $20/limit 2. Some of the really expensive filter may not be FAR - depends on which filter you need.
There does not seem to be any stipulations that it MUST be used through Amazon directly, so it looks as if any Amazon seller qualifes.
FIRST —-> Check for your filter part number Here
SECOND —-> See of Amazon has your filter.
List of Amazon available filters:

Staples has this on sale for $15 starting Feb 17th.
Office Depot has a $15 rebate on this item OD Link OD Rebate Form
So PM Staples price at OD and get it FAR…YMMV in regards to the manager. I guess you can probably buy it now, then PM next week since I think there price match policy allows thats. They took the Staples price off their website, I’m not sure if it’s because they may change it. Who knows. Even if PM doesn’t work, $15 at Staples is still an amazing deal.

OfficeMax B&M Weekly flyer Link
HP Color LaserJet 2605dn, $249.97 thru Feb 16.
Best deal I’ve seen on this printer so far - I bought one for the office for just north of $300 not long ago. It’s one of the higher-rated of the home office-class Color LaserJets… and has both USB and Ethernet ports. I’m thrilled with it, but those with cramped office space, beware — this sucker is (relatively) huge.
EDIT: Posters here mention there’s an instant rebate being provided by HP that brings down the price at other retailers as well — read on. Also: this printer does come with 4 full cartridges, not starter ones.
