Fry’s B&M ad for Seattle/Renton shows the Diamond ATI HD 4850 for $179.99 after Instant Rebate of $20.
SKU# 5640781
Link to Frys.com Newegg Link to Diamond HD 4850 Product Page on diamondmm.com
Newegg has it for $164.99 after $25 MIR ($184.99 - $25) with free shipping… But if you want to run to the local store for instant gratification for $15 more and not have to deal with a $25 MIR…
I already have one ATI 4850 (Visiontek version) and these cards are WICKED.
Cheers, Eemrek
P.S. I’m waiting for the other area ads for Fry’s (e.g. San Jose… DFW, etc.) to see if the local areas are having the same deal. $179.99 price *MIGHT* be reflected on-line later in the day.

For whoever getting wary of their 700wx but still want to keep WM and Sprint, this is one good alternative to upgrade: WIFI, 2MP camera, SDHC microSD, GPS capable (not sure if we can use it without paying extra or not…)
Link
“A data plan of $25 or more or a Simply EverythingSM plan must be purchased along with the handset in order to receive the mail-in rebate.”
Also, FS + free activation “when you purchase a phone with a new line of service online!”
Not sure if Sero subscribers get the same price or not though… If anybody gets any good news, please post.

Our local Cookeville TN Lowes had just put the display models of these lights out in the clearance area at the end of one of the lighting aisles. They were originally $198 and come in two styles. One all-bronze palm tree, uses 3 40-watt bulbs, very heavy, weatherproof, long long outdoor cord with 3-prong plug. The other style is not as massive, and the palm fronds are a frosty lime green (not nearly as attractive as the all-bronze one, IMHO). Both were marked $99, originally $198. I browsed around them casually for several minutes while waiting for my DH to come back from another aisle, and then I asked the clerk “What’s the best you can do for me on this one”, pointing to the all-bronze one. He thought a minute and then said he could go down to $75. We brought it home, set it up in the flower garden next to the front walkway, added 3 40-watt bulbs, plugged it into an outside outlet…and WOW WOW WOW!!!! Talk about a stunning yard light..this is it!!!! Anyway, here are the details: Brand: Portfolio Style: Palm Tree Outdoor Post Light Lowe’s Item No. 116705 Model: 4860 There was no box as this was the floor model, so I can’t supply a UPC. I tried to find an image of it online but could not find this particular post light. Hope some of you are lucky enough to find one at your local Lowe’s too.

I found this greenhouse at Costco.
$549.99 After $150 OFF Greenline 6′ X 8′ Greenhouse Model: STC-GL608 Crystal Clear Polycarbonate Panels, Aluminum Frame, Sturdy and Rigid For Year Round Use
$549.99 Item # 262244 Shipping & Handling included
I was charged tax - I’m rather sure Costco has a presence everywhere
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11256035
When I did some comparison searches I found that $550 is a great price by at least $125 when shipping is included. For once, the original price of the item seems realistic, rather than $1,000,000 off a widget for a final price of $0.50. Edit by Moderator: Made Linky

Prices are still absurd. Not a super hot deal, but it was the best price I could find for them:
Sm $22.23 (need to spend $25 to get free shipping) Md $28.99 Lg $33.20
< Link >
<edit> According to some this is the regular price at Amazon, so this is not a sale ot hot deal. I’m ok with that. Removed the word sale from title.
I just started looking for them and hadn’t been pricing them for months before buying. Saw them at PETsMART/Petco for significantly more. Thought this was a good deal for an overpriced item.
Amazon Product Description Designed to reduce shedding better than any brush, comb, or rake, this innovative tool works effectively for all shedding breeds of dogs and cats, both long- and short-haired. It addresses the issue of the undercoat, which can become a dense mess of loose, dead hair and the major source of shedding, and the allergies and cleanliness problems that come with it. The revolutionary grooming device utilizes a unique 4-inch stainless-steel edge that grabs loose undercoat hair and quickly and easily removes it, without damaging the topcoat. It actually brings out the pet’s natural oils, leaving a shiny and healthy topcoat. The pet will enjoy the feeling the de-shedding tool provides, and caretakers will appreciate the results. Used by veterinarians and recommended by doctors for people who have allergies, the tool is proven to decrease shedding by 60 to 80 percent for about four to six weeks. The patented de-shedding tool features a comfortable, ergonomic grip handle and measures 6 by 1 by 4-1/8 inches.

Being the proud owner of new Sony Alpha A100K DSLR from this deal I started shopping for accessories and found the:
Tamron 18 - 200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR DI-II LD Aspherical (IF) AF Zoom Lens with Macro for $279 at Adorama.. Mfr. Part: AF014M700
This lens currently has TWO manufacturer rebates totaling $105.00. Price after rebates: $174.00 (37% off)! The price before the rebates is good (MSRP is $400), but 37% off is worth starting a new topic. If you’re QUICK you can pick the lens up at Amazon for the same price w/free shipping - but they only have 2 left in stock. Tamron is a respected lens maker in Japan. Sony owns 11% of Tamron.
$75.00 Mfr Rebate from May 1, 2008 - Jul 31, 2008
$30.00 Mfr Rebate from Jul 10, 2008 - Aug 31, 2008
Note: Manufacturer won’t pay rebates unless the lens was purchased from an authorized dealer. Amazon and Adorama are both on the list.

LG Blu-ray burner at Circuit City $229 This seems to be the hottest price for a blu-ray burner. It also includes software for playing blu-ray disks. No HD-DVD support, unlike earlier versions of this drive.
I thought someone else would post this first. I decided to wait to post before I decided against buying. I’m going to wait. Right now I don’t have any need for the blu-ray burning feature, but I would like to be able to play the disks.
This is around $250 at most other places, including Newegg. Free shipping or in-store pickup. FatCash for 2%. Or go through Discover and get 5% back.

I just learned from Dish Network that there is a $25 rebate from showtime, so did a search and found an existing deal but according to that it is supposed to expire on 3/31/08, but apparently they extended the promotion to the end of the year and so I thought some folks will be benefited by reposting it (instead of updating the same old thread).

College students! Did you get the new iPhone yesterday? Then you may be eligible for a 15% FAN discount. All you need is your student e-mail address to apply the discount on your monthly bill. Also works on Family Plans.
http://www.att.com/wirelessdiscounts
College students, as well as employees of eligible companies, are qualified for at least a 15% FAN (Foundation Account Number) discount through AT&T (applicable to voice & data, hardware excluded). Unlike the original iPhone, the new iPhone is a traditionally subsidized phone as they no longer have to share revenue with Apple. So in theory, this means AT&T should treat the iPhone 3G just like any of their other smart phones and is therefore eligible for student/corporate discounts.
Note 1: Takes 1-2 billing cycles to take effect. Note 2: You will automatically enroll in a NEW 2 YEAR CONTRACT if you apply the discount.

I went to Circuit City to buy a Slingbox Solo and a 1 port SlingLink Turbo. I was shocked oto see that the SlingLink was tagged at $40.96 on the shelf, this normally retails for $99.99. I grabbed 2, I figured for that price I might use the other one in the future. I took them to the register and the cashier scanned them, they came up at $79.99. I told the cashier the tag read $40.96, she replied to bring the tag up to her. So I went back to the shelf and grabbed the tag, to my astonishment $40.96 was for the 4 port SlingLink Turbo. I grabbed the one remaining 4 port and headed up to the cashier. Sure enough it rang up correctly, I was on my way home with the $149 device for $40.96.
I have since set up my Slingbox Solo and the SlingLink Turbo and I can’t recommend both pieces of hardware enough.
I checked Circuit City’s web site and this model is not on there. So this is YMMV if you are lucky enough to find one still sitting on the shelf at Circuit City. I had to dig back on the shelf behind the 1 port models to find it.
