Best Buy has gift cards with a scrolling LED banner that you can program with a message. I asked what the minimum was for a gift card and was told .01 (1 cent). Since you can spend the penny it make these free - and great gifts to give along with another gift. I had seen these several months ago at the Discovery store for about $10 - I think. I bought 22 of them to give out - so no apparent limits.

I wasn’t sure if this should go into Free deals - but thought most people would miss it there. Moderators - please feel free to move this if you think appropriate.

I was at Meijer today (Milford OH store) and they had the white Converse canvas shoes like these at Zappos marked as $20 clearance. The kicker is that they have 50% all clearance items for the next several days, using a coupon that is promoted all over the store (”50% all clearance items, no limit”). Now, final price should have been $10 which was already a killer deal. But for some reason, this rang up as $15, so it totalled $7.50 after coupon.

They had several sizes, all whites. YMMV as this may not be available in all stores. I would say at least the $10 final price would be a sure thing if they do carry them. $7.50 a possibility.

Its held at the Gill warehouse up by Lake Lanier. I’d be there by 730 am to get a good place in line - a lot of the good stuff goes quickly.

If you don’t know what the sale is, its where all the Gill retailers send their returns and slightly defective products. Some of the items may have problems (small discoloring, etc) but you can get lots of good gear for great discounts. In short, if you are at all into sailing or even if you need some good foul weather gear, you should be there. You won’t find this advertised on any websites.

If you don’t know who Gill is, you probably won’t be interested in this event.

The bundles at the Waterbury CT, WalMart were marked at $3.98 clearence, but rung up at $3.40. The brand was “Good Times Wood Products”.

This is my first season with a fireplace and this has been the best price I could find without having to purchase a cord and dedicate a whole section in my backyard to firewood. I’ve purchase bundles at Stop & Shop and other locations at around $5(insane). Eventually I’ll build an enclosure in the backyard to store large amounts of wood and purchase them at hopefully a cheaper price. Any advice you can provide on getting cheap wood would be appreciated

This seems to be a little inconsistent, depending on the links you click at Sears.com you can save 20% on purchase of 3+ bench tools (15% for 2, 10% for 1). Some links also include garage organization, air tools, pliers and screwdrivers. So can’t say for sure if some cheap add-ons will bring down the price of a big-ticket tool. But worth a try if you’ve been eyeing a big-ticket shop tool.

I know you can get 3-pk or 4-pk CFL for much cheaper than this deal. The Daylight CFL bulbs which give a much wighter light (I prefer white compared to yellow bulbs) cost about ~$7.50 for 1-pk @ WalMart.

Menards has 3-Pack 100W equivalent ( actual 23W) or 4-Pack 60W equivalent ( actual 13W) for $7.97. The main bulb section has single pack Daylights and multipack of only the yellow CFL but a rep showed me the place where they had multipack Daylights.

Best Buy has the same TV for $2300, Newegg for $2100, and Amazon for $1900

Saw it at Best Buy and loved it. Waited for a cheaper price to show up. It says Out of Stock but you could place the order anyway. I called up Fry’s and the stated that next delivery date is Nov. 6. If you place the order now, you will be locked in for that price until it ships. (You may also cancel order before it ships)

I tried to PM to Best Buy but they weren’t having it. It was a long shot but hey.

For people with a digital audio out connection (that’s usually labelled SPDIF) that’s combined with a 2nd headphone out socket. I know I was looking for one for a while & couldn’t figure it out as to how to use this digital connection - you basically would combine this with a optical cable to get a digital audio output from the laptop (ex. macbook, all the recent HP laptops)
to your receiver.

These were still >$45 last year but I found a huge stack of them priced at $12.97.

It’s a rotary tool (think Dremel) with 200 parts (drills, cutting tools, sanding discs etc…) in a nice size carrying case.

For those with an existing tool, this kit is even worth it just for the drill parts.

FWIW; item number on the receipt is 481451 “Rotary Set”.

I showed up at 10:00 this morning when my Costco (Tacoma, WA) opened - they had a whole pallet-load, and only 3 of us were waiting for one. When I left at 11:30, the pallet was still mostly full - only maybe 10 were gone.

YMMV, of course, but it’s the lowest price OTD I’ve found and it was actually in stock.
