- Costco WD My Passport comes with a soft carrying case + WD Smartware Software (does easy back ups) *note, some hate this since it is hard to get rid of, but for those who just want to use this as a backup hard drive, it’s really great.

- and Dell WD Elements is a basic portable hard drive for those who just want some random portable storage without any “bloatware”

Both of these products have great reviews (don’t count the negative reviews for the WD My Passport since 99% of those are complaining about the included software which they knew they were getting, those people should have bought the WD elements)

Think these are some of the best deals currently for these types of hard drives since you can choose either a basic hard drive that is cheaper some a little more for some software + soft carrying case. No need to deal with the hassles of buying coupons of eBay or rebates with either of the deals.

these hard drives will work on a PC (and also a mac after some formatting, ask a friend if you don’t know how, not too hard, but you will lose the software from the My Passport if using a mac)
