Dick's BM has the Remington 700 ADL in realtree (only) on sale this week for $489 with a $40 Remington rebate. There is also a separate offer for a $40 Dick's gift card with a $550 (total) purchase of Remington products AND you get $20 in store certificates for signing up for Dick's frequent shopper program. This works with any Remington products, doesn't have to be just ammo, but that's what I needed.
I bought the rifle in .308 (comes in 22-250 as well, but c'mon!) 4 boxes of Remington brand .308 cartridges. Total out the door was around $562 + tax, before the $40 rebate.
I took mine to the range tonight to sight it in, and before I put a single round through it, 3 separate people came up to me to comment on the gun. The range boss looked at it, asked me how much I paid, I said "4 and a half", he said "you stole it!"
What can I say, it's a Remington 700 heavy barrel in .308. I was at an indoor range, so only 25 yards, but I was running quarter-sized groups of 5 all night.
