The Friday Fry’s ad for Seattle shows the Shuttle SG33G5 barebone system for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. This is $60 less than Newegg and around $100 less than most places. Looks like a nice little box — takes an Intel Socket T CPU, has HDMI out, Dolby Digital Live, etc…

This is in-store only, and I couldn’t find it on the frys website, but here it is at Newegg:

Let’s get the bad news out of the way first. This DVD
player/recorder doesn’t have a TV tuner. And Toshiba’s website says an
“external tuner source [is] required to record television programming.”

camcorder, so we guess you can record DVDs of your own movies.

I just got back from Best Buy in Battle Creek, MI and scored some deals on NiMH batteries. I’m not sure if it was a price mistake, promotion, or sale price for next week that wasn’t in their system yet but was on the rack. They had these low self discharge (some say these are Eneloops in different packaging) AA (and AAA if I remember) 4 packs for 8.99.

I also scored 8 pack AA’s of the non-LSD 2650mAH’s for 12.50, also a pretty hot deal in my opinion. Anyway, I’m curious to see how reproduceable this deal is - if its a legit nationwide sale or just a mistake at that store. The 8.99 sale tag clearly said precharged though, so it wasn’t like they were marking down the non-LSD’s to get rid of them or something.

I’ve been eyeing the XM Direct 2 Mini-Tuner car kit since I got the Mini-Tuner for my Onkyo home receiver. I wanted to eliminate one of my three XM subscriptions but when they 1st came out they were $120 plus $20 for the connection cable for my Alpine. Was thinking bout getting one with cable off eBay for $90 but missed out on the Microsoft Live 35% discounts and decided to wait. Today I went into the Saginaw, Michigan Circuit City and saw them marked at $109.99 but the shelf tag said $29.99 so I had one of the sales people scan it and it came up as $92.99. I told him the shelf tag said $29.99 and he said that’s for the Mini-Tuner not the Direct 2, I told him they were the same thing so he took the shelf tag off and scanned it and it showed as the same thing so I got it for $29.99. I really don’t know if the 3 that were left will last long cuz the salesman told 3 other sales people on our way to the front what a deal it was.

Home Depot has take an extra 10% off all Maytag Washer and Dryers till July 4. There is also a rebate of up to $250 off any major appliance going on till July 1.

So for Example:

MGD9800TQ is $709.10
MFW9800TQ is $809.10

So because the pair is between $1497 and $1997 you get $150 Home Depot gift card.

Currently the same Pair at Best Buy is $1861.98 and at Lowes is $2056 as they only carry the blue pair which is $200 more at both Best Buy and Home Depot over the white model I bought.

Here is YMMV part. I went to my local HD to buy this pair. They were out of stock in the unit. So I order it for July 11 delivery figuring the price was cheapest price in town I could wait 2 weeks to save $300 off the purchase price and get $150 GC by mail. So on the way home I decided to stop by my local Best Buy to see if they had the machine in stock and if they would match the price. Not only did they match the price but they agreed to match the GC offer as well in the form of an instant $ off the purchase price and Best Buy had the machines in stock and said they would deliver them tomorrow for free even which Home Depot deliver was free after rebate.

So I end up paying the following at Best Buy:

MGD9800TQ is $614.99
MFW9800TQ is $719.99

As Best Buy matched the price + gave me 10% of the difference too. So I ended up paying $1334.98 plus tax vs $1518.20 + tax and having to wait god knows how long for HD GC rebate and delivery rebate to arrive.

Note all the Maytag washer’s and dryer’s are on sale at Home Depot currently with take an extra 10% off promo till July 4 and this new promo stacks with old promo that expires on July 1 for rebate of HD gift Card.

I was browsing through RS today and they had Halo 3 and COD4 on clearance for 40 each which is pretty decent if you missed out on all the earlier sales. They also had the wireless xbox 360 controller with the computer hook up on clearance for 29.99 which I tought was a good price for a wireless controler let alone one with the usb dongle to use with your computer.

First deal post. This paper is pretty sexy, I use it routinely to print full-page DVD covers and the quality normally makes this deal a steal when it is on sale in-store for $1 per 20-pack, but at this price it’s even better. Have to order it online (the douche in the Roseville store wouldn’t let me pick up my order without the emailed confirmation page, and wouldn’t agree to price match their online price) and select in-store pickup (after putting in your credit card info). Site says limit of five, but I also ordered 10 from the Sacramento store and picked them up without any problem.

Price per sheet @ .25 per 20 pack = 1.25 cents for those of you into per page pricing.

This goes on sale a couple times a year at this price. I’m an all-clad guy myself but I make it a rule never to spend more than $50 on a nonstick because they just don’t last. This is a great value because it has a 12″ lid, something that is rarely included in a 12″ skillet. It costs $35 on its own.

I just got back from Winn-Dixie to get Coke and Vault on the 4 for $11 deal.
Each of the Vault 12-packs had 2 coupons attached.
One was a free 12-pack when you buy three and the other was for a free 20 oz. Vault.

I bought 3 of the 4 for $11 deals and used the coupons to get 4 more free 12-packs and a bunch of 20 oz. bottles.
Out of pocket = $33 for 16 12-packs and a half dozen bottles (all they had there).

Not a bad deal I think?

(Of course the fine print said Coke products so you can obviously get other flavors.)
