HOT!!! Starbucks free wireless internet 2 hours per day - register your *$ card
Rating: 2 Posted By: htyped
*$ is now with AT&T and you get free wireless 2 hours per day by using the Starbucks Card once every 30 days. T mobile is getting phased out finally.
There are other perks listed in another post, but the free wireless part is NEW.
http://www.starbucks.com/retail/wireless.asp
Some key FAQ:
What is the offer?
As a way to thank our loyal customers, Starbucks is offering a reward for registering and using your Starbucks Card complimentary access to AT&T Wi-Fi for up to two hours per day in any U.S. Starbucks store that offers Wi-Fi.
What do I need to get online?
To get your AT&T Wi-Fi account, you simply need a Starbucks Card that you have used in the last 30 days, and agree to receive up to four emails per year from AT&T. As long as you continue to use your card at least once a month (make a purchase or load a balance) youll continue to enjoy up to 2 hours per day of complimentary Wi-Fi access in any U.S. Starbucks store which offers Wi-Fi.
Do I need to use my Starbucks Card each time I get online?
No. As long as youve used your card in the last 30 days (make a purchase or load a balance), the AT&T username and password you will create as part of the special registration process is all youll need each time you visit a Starbucks and want to access Wi-Fi.
Do I need to sign up every time?
You only need to sign up one time, either at home or in the store. Once youve registered your card(s) and created your AT&T account, you just log in and youre online.
Why is this limited to two hours?
In order to make our stores welcoming places for all our customers, the complimentary benefit is limited to two hours. For customers who would like unlimited access, AT&T has a [paid plan] that will work for them.
Can I use my two hours of Wi-Fi at different times of the day?
Currently, you are limited to one session of up to two hours. Were working on making this available across multiple sessions per day stay tuned for updates.
Why AT&T Wi-Fi? Why do I need an AT&T account?
In order to provide you the easiest way to get online at any one of our participating U.S. stores, an AT&T Wi-Fi account is the simplest and best way to connect. After youve signed up, youll have a username and password you can use to log in at any Wi-Fi enabled Starbucks.

Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse with 1GB USB Drive - $39.99
FROM: Dr. Reinhard Van Frightening
TO: My minions, lackeys, goons, and henchpersons
RE: Operation PowerPoint
Greetings,
peons! It is I, your unquestioned master, Dr. Van Frightening! First, I
want to thank Fatala and the rest of the party planning committee for a
really great barbecue this past Memorial Day. An especially nice touch
was roasting alive those Interpol informers we found in our ranks. The
dark hallways of Castle Van Frightening always seem a little less
gloomy when they ring with the screams of those who have betrayed me.
And the rest of the food? I may be the super-villain, Fatala, but your
banana-walnut pudding is the real threat – to my waistline, that is!
Now,
on to business…evil business! As you all know, Operation PowerPoint has
been underway for over 20 years now, and it’s already showing great
results. Our operatives designed PowerPoint to cripple the minds of
America’s decision makers by reducing their thoughts to short, bulleted
lists and easily digestible chunklets of superficial quasi-information.
Over time, we hoped, their ability to comprehend complex, detailed
ideas would atrophy away. The most powerful men in the world’s most
powerful nation would be rendered utterly unable to meet the challenges
of running the economy and government. And darned if we aren’t
succeeding. Just pick up a newspaper. There’s all the proof you need.
I’m
pleased to announce the next phase in Operation PowerPoint. The
Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse makes it easy and fun to give
presentations by allowing the victim to move the mouse around in the
air like some kind of totally rad video game controller. No surface
needed, no wires involved, you don’t even have to point it at the
screen. And it works from up to 100 feet away. We believe this makes
PowerPoint even more insidiously seductive. But that’s not all. The
GyroTransport’s wireless USB transmitter doubles as a 1GB Flash drive, suitable for storing – you guessed it – PowerPoint presentations. Ain’t I a stinker?
We’ve arranged with one of our front companies in Texas to offer the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse with 1GB USB Drive
at a discounted price, to enhance its penetration into the nerve
centers of American power. Until our campaign to have 133tsp34k adopted
as the U.S.A.’s official language succeeds, this new phase of Operation
PowerPoint is our best hope yet of destroying the American intellect.
The day draws nearer when everyone on Earth shall squirm beneath my
mailed fist. And I couldn’t do it without you guys. Thanks – and
remember: it’s no accident that “insane, murderous megalomaniacal
scheme” rhymes with “team”!
Warranty: One year Gyration

- Innovative gyroscopic motion-sensing technology for in-air navigation and cursor control

the thing you have to remember is that the PRECHARGED rechargable batteries are WAY BETTER than standard rechargeables. they hold a charge for a long time, at least a year without being used. you can’t do that with standard rechargeable batteries, which are less expensive.

Canon EOS Rebel XSi Black w/EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens - $799.99 + $8.30 3 day shipping @ Newegg

I just picked up the Canon EOS Rebel XSi Black 12.20 MP Digital SLR Camera w/EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens from Newegg for $799.99. I linked into Newegg from the FW site so I’ll be getting 1% back.
Link to camera @ newegg (black body)
Newegg also has the XSi with the silver body in stock for the same price.
I had a difficult time deciding between the 40D and the XSi. For me, it ultimately came down to the weight and feel of the cameras. The 40D is an awesome camera, but it’s much heavier, physically larger, more expensive and has features I’ll never use. I also like that Live View works with the mirror down on the XSi (albeit slow). I went to the local camera superstore twice today to hold the two cameras. I decided the perfect setup would be the XSi with the lens that ships with the 40D. So I ended up picking up the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens that ships with the 40D body. Newegg has the lens for a respectable $419. I thought about picking up the XSi body, but the 18-55mm lens only added around $50.
Comparison of the Canon Rebel XSi, XTi and EOS 40D
