Antec Trio 650W @BB B&M for 63.99 very YMMV!!

Went to the best buy on broadway NoHo in NYC and saw this power supply on clearance for 63.99. They had about 3 on the shelf and maybe more in stock. This is warm at best but compared to the 100 dollar I spent for mine last year this is a good deal compared to then. Newegg has this for $129.99. I put very in teh title since BB likes to do random clearance at certain stores and nationwide it’s different and like to have us fatwallet users run around looking for hot deals just so they can get people into their stores. end rant. Well for those that think its a good deal to upgrade then by all means. Just so you know tehre are 2 PCIe 6 pin power adapters so if you need a 8 pin PCIe adapter get the 6to8 pin adapter. Pretty good power supply in my opinion.

This earbug is supposed to be Skullcandy’s high end line compared to the much cheaper “smoky” line. Did a little research and find out this headphone goes above $50 in most of the places. There are several colors available as well. I cannot comment on the sound though. Here is a link for the reference.

This deal involves PM so if you feel no luck or do not like PM deals, please skip.

This week, CC has this nice mouse for $50-15-15 = $20
Next week (march30), Staples has it for $30 OTD,
So basically, 50-30-20PM = $0 plus appl. tax.

Option 1: Buy it before Sunday (instore Pickup, or instore), PM next week.
Option 2: Buy this week using CitiDiamond Card, or AMEX Card, get Staples ad. next week, and call for Price Protection.

Personally, i have a CitiDiamondCard, and this kind of deal is very easy. It goes through regardless of the timegap between 2 purchases, as long as it’s advertised after the purchase.

Vizio VX42L 42” LCD HDTV

28 March, 2008 (15:49) | Deals, Woot | No comments

When it comes to the moral and spiritual decadence of our age,
modern man faces two choices: struggle to preserve his integrity and
purpose against often overwhelming forces, or buy a big-ass TV.

You
know us. We’re not the struggling type. So we eagerly scraped out the
final remnants of our soul, grabbed one of those bags of Doritos with
“spicy buffalo wing” and “tangy blue cheese” Doritos mixed up in the
same bag, and prostrated ourselves before our new master, the Vizio VX42L 42” LCD HDTV.

Who needs a sense of meaning to life when you’ve got a forty-two inch LCD
with a 178-degree viewing angle? Let the philsophers and clerics whine
about our culture’s degradation of the ineffable human essence – we’ll
just be over here enjoying our favorite video games and action movies
with this TV’s 8 ms response time. With its integrated HDTV tuner and HDMI
inputs, there’s no better way to stay sedate while Apocalypse
approaches. What the hell, right? Chances are we’ll all be blown up by
some nut who takes his Holy Book a little too seriously. Might as well
massage the ol’ pleasure centers while we can.

Global warming, childhood obesity, Bumfights,
honor killings, dogs and cats living together: as far as we’re
concerned, let it all fall apart. We’ll be taking in the spectacle in
all its 1366×768, 16:9 glory on our Vizio VX42L 42” LCD HDTV. Hey, have you tried this new Cherry Chocolate Dr. Pepper?

VuPoint 2MP Digital Camera

28 March, 2008 (15:41) | Deals, Woot | No comments

The patient sighed.

“Doctor, I’m depressed. I can’t face
another day alone in this cruel, indifferent world. Nothing brings me
joy anymore – not food, not music, not love. Not even Friday Night Smackdown.
Nothing seems to matter. The most trivial decisions, the simplest
tasks, overwhelm me. It’s like I’m carrying a soaking-wet throw rug on
my shoulders, all the time. And not just any throw rug, but one of
those heavy woollen ones. I feel like I can hardly move, and I don’t
care enough to try any harder. And all I can see ahead is more of the
same, only worse. Can you help me?”

The doctor smiled.

“The
treatment is simple. What you need is a super-cheap digital camera, the
kind you can use to take pictures without worrying about if it’ll get
broken or lost, and without a lot of features to fuss over. Get
yourself the VuPoint Solutions DC-ST201-VP 2MP Digital Camera. If that
can’t help you, nothing can.”

The patient wept.

“But doctor…I am the VuPoint Solutions DC-ST201-VP 2MP Digital Camera.”

Buy Any Espresso Drink in McDonalds and Get Sandwich Free..!

Noticed that in WA (atleast in Seattle and in Port Angeles) where McDonalds is offering espresso coffee, there is manager’s special. I was in THREE different McDonalds buying their new espresso drink and got either Sandwich free (any sandwich except premium chicken), or In another area I got Snack Wrap free.. this was not advertised outside, I discovered it accidentally, this seems to be Manager’s special in each McDonalds, probably where they are test marketing the new espresso drink!! so your YMMV.

Thought is a good deal, for 1.99 plus tax, you get a good espresso drink (I tried both latte and capucino)(surprising it was good coffee) + Sandwich or wrap.. good deal I thought….

Philips 10.2″ LCD Digital Picture Frame $69.94 Target Clearance YMMV

28 March, 2008 (14:59) | Deals | No comments

I was shopping for a digital picture frame the other day and came across a 10.2″ Philips one (Model: 10FF2XLE) for only $69.94 (originally priced at $269.99)!!! The price tag was still on the shelf for the almost $300 price and I couldn’t believe it. This is a very nice frame, too, with a nice metal finish. I checked three other Targets in the area but nobody had any left so this clearance deal’s very YMMV. The lowest price on PriceGrabber’s $269.00 and the lowest on Amazon’s actually not bad at $171.68. Hopefully somebody else gets lucky like me and can snag one for this price!

GN Netcom GN9120 Wireless Headset Bundle - $99.99

28 March, 2008 (14:42) | Deals, Woot | No comments

Heh, heh, heh. If these suckers think they can get an honest days’
work out of me, they’re sadly mistaken. I’ve got shirking down to an
art, or a science, or a blend of art and science that I call “artence”.
And the GN Netcom Wireless Headset Bundle lets me take my game to a whole new level of slackiness.

Sure, it’s got some great features, if you’re planning to use it to get actual work done. The GN9120
headset has an operating range of up to 300 feet. Its encryption and
frequency-hopping capability keeps your conversations secure, and it
allows up to three other headsets to join in on conference calls. I
imagine the noise-cancelling mic and 8-hour talk time could conceivably
come in handy for the workaholic. What’s more, the GN1000 Remote
Handset Lifter physically lifts the phone receiver off of the hook, so
I can answer my desk phone from almost anywhere in the office. That is,
when I actually bother to answer my phone.

But all that is
for people with crippling defects like “integrity” and “a work ethic”.
Personally, I’ve found that the headset is the ideal prop for looking
busy, no matter how I’m wasting company time. Reading the paper in the
break room? Working on my spec script for Two and A Half Men?
Having some quality “me time” in the stairwell? If somebody happens by,
all I have to do is say something like “Dammit, Bennett, I’ve told you
over and over that those terms are unacceptable” or “Just calling to
check in, touch base, and follow up” and presto! Get me – I’m
“working”! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a Sudoku puzzle to finish
before my lunch break. A shirker’s work is never done.

Warranty: One year

Features:

  • Wireless Range: Up to 300 ft
  • Frequency: 2.4 GHz
  • Battery Talk Time: 8 hrs
  • Wearing Style: Over-the-head, Over-the-ear, Convertible (2-in-1)

  • base foot
  • connection cord

Stedi-Stock Optical Device Stabilizer

28 March, 2008 (14:39) | Deals, Woot | No comments

But I am telling the truth! Honest, officer, I swear to
God, it’s just camera equipment. I know what it looks like, I know. But
it’s called the Stedi-Stock. All it does is help you keep your hand
steady when you’re shooting -

Uh, bad choice of words. I
meant when you’re shooting pictures. With a camera. No, I didn’t put it
in my camera bag, because it won’t fit in my camera bag. You’re right,
that is inconvenient. Well, no, I’m not sure how adding another handle
to a camera necessarily makes it more stable, either.

But it
doesn’t mean I was trying to sneak a gun onboard so I could hijack the
plane and fly it into a nuclear plant or something. What? No, I was
just speaking hypothet- OW! Hey, watch the hands, those cuffs are
really – OW! Come on, man, my hands are my livelihood!

Where
are we going now? Are you putting me on the plane? Good. Finally. I’ve
got a really important shoo- er, session in Milan, and if I miss it,
I’ll never get any work from Men’s Undergarments Monthly ever
again. Hey, what’s this olive green plane all about? I thought I was
flying Alitalia. No, of course I’ve never been to Guantanamo Bay. Why
do you ask?

Westinghouse 10.2” 128MB Digital Photo Frame

28 March, 2008 (14:27) | Deals, Woot | No comments

She ran into me first, at a club. She had something with pink
stripes and it didn’t match her hair at all but I had to take a
picture. I had my digital camera, and this was years ago when that was
still rare, and she naturally had to look. Before we left the two of us
had taken maybe three hundred pictures and maybe a dozen of them were
worth keeping. But I got her email so I could send them to her, and we
made a date for coffee.

They all came around on my Westinghouse DPF-1021
10.2” 128mb Digital Photo Frame today. I called her into the living
room to watch them scroll past and she covered her wide open smile and
sat down and we watched them. I’d mounted it on the wall to make it
easier to watch like a tv, and the MosaicView Technology Slideshow made
it like a digital story, only we remembered all the things we hadn’t
saved. The 128MB of internal memory meant I had room to put other
photos in there as well. The messy-haired glare from the candid shot in
my old kitchen. The grin and the wet arm coming around the door
demanding her stolen towel. The quiet curled up ball on the couch with
our new puppy in her arms. The two of us sunburned on the beach. After
a few minutes she walked over and sat in my lap, pulling my arms across
her and squeezing them tight.

I’d gone through every old thing I could find. The Westinghouse DPF-1021
10.2” 128mb Digital Photo Frame took Secure Digital, Multi Media Card,
Compact Flash, Micro Drive, xD-Picture Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick
PRO, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo and USB Flash
Drives, so it wasn’t very hard to fill it up. There was the time we
painted the dresser, the time we went to the zoo, the photo she took of
my mother in the hospital, and the one I liked best, that photo of her
in the white dress with the heavy lidded eyes.

When it
finished I told her we could use the delete function to make some space
or that we could set it to random, but she said there was no way, that
it was perfect just the way it was. And I could see in her wet eyes how
much she really meant it. I thought about taking a picture, but I
didn’t want to let go of her to get a camera. And anyway, some things
you can’t ever forget.

200 Bonus Minutes Every Month FREE for LIFE with AT&T / Cingular Wireless YMMV, FAN Accounts

Stolen from SD

Hi all,

Before you chew me a new one, hear me out. I have AT&T service, on a FAN account (Foundation Account Number- My employer gets me a discount). Anyways, I was speaking to a rep and they told me of a feature code U200 which when added on to your account gives you 200 minutes per line on your plan, every month for as long as you have the account.

I think you might have to have a FAN account, (employer discount- mine is 20%). But anyways, long story short, the rep couldn’t add it, something about them not being authorized to do so, so I called up customer service, hit the option to cancel, and basically said that my corporate representative had told me to call and get the feature added to my account, as we were going to be on a lot of conference calls soon. They asked me what the code was and I said U200.

It took me about 3 or 4 calls before I found someone that was willing to add it on (they don’t like giving you something for no reason I suppose), but I managed to get it on all 3 lines on my account, so now I have a total of 600 extra bonus minutes per month, free of charge. I guess if you have had an issue with them lately you could say that your rep told you to call because of the inconvience. Just be nice to them.

Took about 15 min of my time. Now if that isn’t a SlickDeal, I don’t know what is.

edit:
Thanks for the reps you guys gave me, I appreciate it. Post success stories in the Wiki!

RCA HPNC050 Noise Canceling Headphones

28 March, 2008 (13:51) | Deals, Woot | No comments

There are two things that can ruin your day. The first is good music
getting smothered by noise. The second is losing an expensive pair of
headphones. So just like some online Henry Kissinger, we’ve found a
middle ground for both.

The RCA Noise
Canceling Headphones are a cheap way to get a sound you can tolerate.
Sure, there are far, far better headphones out there, but are you
honestly the sort of person who can drop six grand on something that
you’re just going to take on vacation? Cause if you are, we’d like to
invite you to our new site, yacht.woot.com.

For the rest of you, the lightweight RCA Noise Canceling Headphones work with any 3.5mm audio jack, from your laptop to your MP3
player to your old fashioned Walkman. The headband folds to fit in a
bag, and there’s an on-cable volume adjustment with an on/off button
for noise canceling, when you’re ready for a little silence. It’s not
gonna cover up that dump truck, but when you want a little less ambient
room noise, the RCA Noise Canceling Headphones will do the trick. Also, just in case “ambient room noise” means “I’m on an airplane”, the RCA Noise
Canceling Headphones come with an airline adapter, to let you enjoy the
sounds of in-flight rock. Can’t get enough Huey Lewis!

So
don’t think you’re getting the deal of a lifetime, but if you just want
to enjoy your music without freaking out when the Bolivian headphone
bandits nab you at the airport lounge as you’re distracted by your
attempt to purchase a Clark bar, the RCA Noise Canceling Headphones are for you.

Warranty: One Year RCA

Features:

  • Works with any 3.5mm audio jack (Laptop, MP3 player, tape cassette player)
  • Noise canceling runs off of 1 AAA battery
  • Folding headband, easy to store in a bag
  • On cable volume adjustment with on/off button for noise canceling
  • Driver Size: 30mm
  • Active Noise Canceling: Up to 14dB plus or minus 3dB @ 300Hz to 450Hz Peak Effect
  • Frequency Response: 20 to 20,000 Hz Sensitivity: 104db plus / minus 2db @ 1 kHz
  • Impedence: 32Ohms
