OK, tell me if this would work. CVS coupons galore!

Take the $5 off $15 coupon from here
Take TWO of these Hershey $1.50 coupons off 3 bags from here

Buy 3 of the $3.99 Spring Mix (says it’s 46 oz. on the bag, Kit Kat/Reeses/Kisses - page 3 of the insert) = $11.97
Buy 4 of the $.99 Hershey’s Kisses (9.2 oz. - page 1 of the insert) = $3.96

Use $5 off $15 coupon FIRST
Then present 2 of the $1.50 off 3 bags Hershey’s coupons

This would mean $15.93 total MINUS $5 coupon MINUS $3 (2 x $1.50) coupons = $7.93 for 8 POUNDS of chocolate.

But it gets better! In today’s CVS Sunday insert (San Diego area), page 3 says “buy $10 of Hershey’s and get $5 extra bucks”.

So this means you get $5 in extra care bucks for next time. Effective cost $2.93. For 8 pounds of chocolate!

Don’t know if stacking of these coupons would fly, but I’m giving this a shot later today.

After troubleshooting a system problem that has been causing my machine to hang/crash for a couple months now, I finally figured out that a memory problem (Memtest86+ helped on that end) was causing it, not the Microsoft updates as I was led to believe.

Long story short, after being helped by a cool salesman for a while, looking up which DIMMs had rebates going, what the best instant savings were, etc, I overheard another salesman tell a guy that he would bring him up “two sets” of DIMMs, which were going for about $33. I asked if he could bring two more, and sure enough, when he returned, he told us they were $34.99 each, because apparently there was some problem with the rebates not working (I don’t know if that means they weren’t printing up, or the register wasn’t ringing it right), so they were just marking the price down in-store.

My MOBO can take up to 4GB in four slots, so I got two of the kits, worked flawlessly after spending about five minutes putting them in.

I hope this isn’t YMMV, and that it is good at any Microcenter, but here’s the info, good luck. I guess there may be other deals out there, but for $75, I thought 4GB of DDR2 800MHz memory was a pretty good one. Of course, this is the first memory I’ve bought in about five years, so go easy on me…

This is a theory that may or may not work. Best Buy finally ended the HD Advantage Deal that got a ton of money of a TV. For those that really want Direct TV but don’t need a new TV. Go to best buy, sign up for the HD Advantage program and sign up for direct tv to get the $30/month off the bill. Have Direct TV installed. Return the TV. The choice package is $34.99/month so in theory you can get it for $4.99/month for a year!

I was in my local Lowe’s this evening checking out a few things and came across a current promotion they’re having on DeWalt Miter Saws.

The flyers said discounts are good through March on the saws looked like this:

DW718 - 17% off (27% off AC) - Top of the line 12″ double-bevel sliding (normally sells for $679.99; $496.39 + tax AC)
DW716 - 10% off (20% off AC) - 12″ double-bevel (normally sells for $399.99; $319.99 + tax AC)
DW713 - 17% off (27% off AC) - 10″ single-bevel (normally sells for $219.99; $160.59 + tax AC)

The DW715 (12″ single-bevel) and DW712 (8 1/2″ single bevel sliding) didnt have signs on them, and I didnt have a chance to ask an associate if they were under any sort of promotion.

When using a 10% off Lowes coupon this brings the DW718 to $496.39 + tax, and the DW713 to $160.59 + tax!!

I’ve been watching trying to catch a deal on a DeWalt miter saw for some time now, and 27% off on a DeWalt from a local B&M seems like a pretty good deal to me! Hope someone else can use it as well!
