if you ordered a laptop within the last 21 days, here is your chance to price match. does not matter if you used the coupon USPSAVET1418 last time. read the following steps and if the price for the same configuration have come down, then you will get the price match for sure.

Now, the price has come down a little bit. In my case, my price difference is $83 and the request for credit is in process and I will see the credit within 5 business days.

Here is what you have do (if you ordered within the past 21 days)

I ordered a t61 with discrete 15.4 wide version.

1) goto Lenovo.com linky
2) configure the laptop exactly that you ordered earlier
3) use the coupon, USPSAVEMORE after adding to cart
4) in most cases, the price before tax would be lesser that what we paid earlier
5) proceed to checkout (you might need to login. in my case, I have to login)
6) goto the payment and review section (this is the second section)
7) scroll down the bottom of the page. you should see the following link:

Convert to quote
Please note, the convert to quote option is only available for credit card, check, wire transfer or P.O. terms orders.

click the above link and you will get a quote number. note this quote number and give a call to the Lenovo customer support and tell them that the price has come down since your last order

they will say that, we need to configure the system and provide and quote number and call them back. Tell them that you already have the quote number. “Really”, the rep will ask.
provide the quote number and the previous order number and rep will verify that the spec for both matches correctly.

that is it. you will get your difference credit back to your credit/debit/ what ever payment mode that you used.

Just noticed that MacConnection has the entry level 20″ Aluminum iMac for $1099.95 with free ground shipping, plus no sales tax except to Alabama, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas (which I realize is a long list, but for those of us in the other 40 states, it’s a nice bonus).

Apple’s standard price on these is $1199 new (or $999 refurb); best price I’ve seen is $1144 at MacWarehouse, but that includes a rebate hassle.

You can fit just under 40 hours of MPEG 4/h.264 video onto it if you use something like Nero Recode to encode it. What this means is that it will EASILY allow you to fit 1-2 seasons of a typical TV show on it. I encode at a rate of 200 Megabytes per hour (Nero AVC setting), and am able to fit 2 full seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation into this space, with about 700 Megabytes to spare.

Normally, I would have just posted a note on this in the clearance thread, but I think this might be nationwide.

Best Buy has the 50-pack of 16x TDK DVD-R media on clearance for $5.99 OTD. This is in-store only. In searching the net, it seems that people from lots of places are finding them at this price, so it doesn’t seem to be as YMMV as usual.

Note, this deal is only for the -Rs. The +Rs are not anywhere near as cheap.

So I was at the Moscow, ID WalMart today looking for some paint when I walked past the electronics section, and in the middle of the isle, there was 3 or 4 Rockband sets on a special price for 79.92. This is not the drums only piece, that goes for 79.99 online. It had all of the pieces.

This normally goes for $150 or so, from what I have heard. I don’t own a 360 or PS3, but thought that this might mean the price of this game will start to go down.

BTW, Guitar Hero III was right next to it, still at 89.99, so it is probably my WalMart getting rid of them, but yours could have them too. It wasn’t listed as clearance, it was listed as a “special” price.
