Weaknees is selling a refurbished Humax TiVo with built-in DVD recorder for $49 after a $150 rebate (FREE shipping).
Link to Humax DVD Tivo
If you add this item to the cart, you will see a $100 TiVo service activation gift card for $80…this saves you $20 on any service activation (which is required to use the TiVo).
Total price in cart: $199+$80=$279
Use coupon code TAKE25 to reduce the price by $25
Total: $254
Less $150 rebate: $104
Less value of $100 gift card: $4
So net price for TiVo and $100 Card is $4 (assuming you value the $100 GC at $100).
NOTES ABOUT THIS TiVo: It is NOT a dual-tuner! It does work with satellite and cable but if you want to use it with dish or direct tv, you need a separate satellite box. It is NOT high definition (come on–for $4 you want HD?!). It also REQUIRES a TiVo subscription, which is why the $100 GC isn’t such a bad thing to get.

At the present time the L. A. Computer Company, located at 2993 E. White Star Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92806 has an online sale for the AppleCare part number MA515LL/A to use with your new MacBook Pro for the amazing price of $225. I just purchased my MacBook Pro and was searching for Apple Care when I came across this deal. You can access it at the following link:
http://www.lacomputercompany.com/cgi-bin/rpcart/index.cgi?command=dispitem&type=sku&sku=10126
You can pick it up at the store in Anaheim or have it shipped to you via FedEx for an additional $9.28. I spoke with them and they don’t know how long they will have this price so if you want to take advantage of it, I would jump on it now.

Was perusing Sams tonight and found the Toshiba HD-D3 HD-DVD player for 68.01. I cannot find it on Sam’s website, so you are going to have to goto the store to check stock. I saw 5 on the rack at the Sam’s Club in Orlando, FL near the corner of Goldenrod & Colonial.
This is the same unit Costco carries, so basically it is an HD-A3 plus HDMI cable and 2 movies in the box, of course it should qualify for the 5 MIR HD-DVDs too!
Happy hunting!

Please Be Gentle; long time prowler, first time deal poster.
So I got my Thursday snail mail with the the ShopLocal flyer in it. I found this deal on the inside cover. Essentially you order 10 Cigars for 19.95 + 4.95 ground UPS and they’ll send 2 bonus cigars overseas to the troops. I wouldn’t call myself a master smoker, but I do frequent the local cigar shops. Three of these would cost me $20.00 bucks locally. Here is what you get:
Black Pearl Zino Classic Cuesta Rey Camacho Gurkha Rocky Patel Sungrown Tusker Series 55 Occidental Reserve Rocky Patel Vintage ‘99
I bought the 8 cigars + the huimdor deal posted here a few months ago, and granted this doesn’t include an humidor I still think it’s a killer deal.
Link To 10 + 2 For The Troops Cigar Deal
if the link doesn’t work, you can go to http://www.thompsoncigar.com and search for code T7759.

It started last night with some weird visual light spots. Then, it was hard for me to see more than one thing at once - like, if I was looking at one of my wife’s eyes, the other eye was lost in a fog. Finally, on came the sizzling streaks of blurriness. I knew then that a migraine was about to make its semi-annual visit. And boy, did it ever. But did I let that stop me from hauling myself into work and WWWounding up some fascinating links? The answer is:
Four O’Clock Flash: since yesterday’s game only lasted six to twelve seconds, here’s one that’ll kill a little more of your precious time. Dwarf Complete reminds me of old Atari 2600 quest adventures like, er, Adventure. Hint: if you think you’re trapped, look for hidden openings in the walls. By their shadows shall ye know them. Well I was kind of pissed that ATT was increasing the 3mbps service to $30/mth from $25. I pay $5.70 for the metered phone but after taxes it’s about $11. Anyway, they weren’t increasing the 6mbps service so I figured I’d cancel the phone and go dryloop. That way I go from $25 to $39 for dsl but save $11 on the landline so it goes to $39 total instead of my current $36 ($41 after the price increase in march).
Anyway, I called to do all that and ATT told me I’d be without service for about 4 days while I switched to dryloop. Sucks but I can deal with it. Then they ask me why I don’t want phone and I told them I never use it and use my cell. Well they said it’s good for 911 blah blah and I’m ready to fight for it but then said what if we upgrade you to elite ($35 with phone service) and give you $10 for 6 months with 1 yr contract. I’m doing the numbers and it’s still higher so I tell them no thanks and they then offer to give me this month free.
So: $10*6+36=96 in savings! before I was going to pay $39*12=468 and now I pay (35+11)*12-96=456 and you get to keep phone for free.
So: 1) call to switch to dryloop, ask them to give you $10 off $35 for elite and this month’s service free 2) this is in san diego, ca 3) $50 termination fee if you cancel within the 1 year contract which is ok by me as it prevents any further price increase as a well
note that if i didn’t make the call, I’d have to pay ($30+11)*12=$492 for 3mbps+phone or $35*12=420 just for 3mbps service. Now I have 6mbps service and saved a few dollars too!

From the Desk of the Woot.com Creative Director. Memo: We need to show our corporate clients some ideas for their ability to leverage exposure to the consumer. By 5:00, I want you to Put a corporate logo on a natural or man-made wonder. And make it funny somehow.
Dave- I’ve made a list of the least awful of our graphic artists’ proposals. Maybe we ought to think about hiring in some new blood?
-Jason.
First Place - $100
jbedwar1 - Legohenge
We planned for it to have two more rings, but ran out of pieces. We don’t care, though, because our new copy of Legos Druid Wars just arrived via SmartPost.

Second Place - $50
JoeDeeDee - Mount Gillette®
Fortunately, Lincoln often went clean shaven. The Jefferson descendants refused to let his head be shaved, however. In a related note, Shcick has optioned Mount Baldy, though the Telly Savalas Foundation has filed a lawsuit.

Third Place (Tie) - $20
Minimum Rage - ‘Cisco Bridge
They did try to Put their logo on the Internet itself, but legal fees eventually stopped them.

Third Place (Tie) - $20
Wantabewooter - VW Bugs
Oh sure, you can claim that bugs aren’t a natural wonder, but are you aware that there isn’t a single bug in this image? These are actually beetles. That’s John and Yoko in yellow over on the left, and Paul is the shallow Ladybird Beetle- I believe he’s missing a leg. A really, really expensive leg. What’s that? Which one’s Ringo? Did it ever really matter?

Honorable Mentions
stedj34 - I’m Thinking Arby’s
Ah, Curly Cheese Fries.

Shinketsu -Pringles Castle
Mmmmm, the beautiful and delicious Pringle Highlands in the Cotswolds.

u2wedge - Windex® Grand Canyon Skywalk
They’re in an awkward position here- if they actually use Windex to clean the glass, people refuse to walk onto the invisible walkway that cost so much to build. Blocking the view with the Windex Logo was a prudent way to avoid this difficulty. We also liked u2wedge’s Reynolds Wrap satellite.

wildwolf11 - Jenga Building
Now, if I could just pull this one out from right here, I think it will stay uprigh…crap.

rascal514 - Charmin
Oh, uh oh. Looks like rascal514’s streak just ended.

carpenter940 - Nike, Brought To You By…Nike®
Very Nike, err, we mean, nice. They have a companion set of golf tees that work well with this.

theunknownartist - Miracle Gro® Hanging Gardens
Unfortunately, the Colossus of Rhodes slipped and fell, crushing the entire Garden, so this is just an artist’s rendering of what it probably looked like.

zilla81 - Adidas Pyramid
So close to the Meowmixxed Sphinx, at the edge of the Fresh Step® Sahara Desert. We also liked zilla81’s Nike Soccer product placement.

apull - Beano Windmill
Nothing works better than your own USB cubicle Beano® Windmill to dissipate the…aftermath from your Taco Bell all-you-can-eat Burrito Buffet® lunch today.

The Special “Mr./Ms. Obvious” Honorable Mention
cotterpin - Hoover Dam
How could it take four pages for this to appear? How?

Monkey Prize
stereo3d - Things That Suck 10K Pyramid
They sponsor a 10K race areound the pyramid as well. Nearly 83% of viewers instantly knew this was going to be chosen as monkey prize this week, according to the coders here at woot.com.
Click it to see why, in greater detail.

Money winners, please email your Paypal info to jtoon@woot.com. Monkey Prize winner, please email your shipping address to jtoon@woot.com. Honorable Mentioneers may use coupon code HONMEN-FS for free shipping on a future order. Until next time, remember: it won’t be long until this becomes more widespread. Sporting events, Stadia, the Showtime® Smithsonian: soon, we’ll actually see LegoHenge. Go to the Grand Canyon NOW, while the view is still unencumbered.

Warm at best (Disney is expensive):
For Florida residents ONLY: 4 days park hopper + 4 days Water Park fun and more (Which are either of the two water parks, disney quest, wide world of sports) non-expiring for $197.95 or $195.95 for AAA members plus tax. About $210 + shipping or pick up at any AAA club for free. You can order thru disney.com and pay $3.00 shipping charge.
I wanted to mention this to the community as the cheapest I can usually obtain tickets is about $38.50 a day when buying a 10 day park hopper no expiration pass. So this would be cheaper for the person whom wants to go to disney occasionally and adding 4 days of the water park. For people whom this is new to, you get 4 days park hopping PLUS 4 other full days at each one of the water park and more. The water parks run about $41 including tax per day for Florida resident. So maybe this deal is warm for some who can utilize this feature in their lifetime (no expiration). This has been one of the better deals I have seen for disney tickets for the past several years and prices of tickets go up every year.
Link
You must choose 4 days, Check off (No expiration, water park fun and more, and park hopper) and you will be required to show proof of residency at window
edited to include link and to include a more detailed description.

Rabbit and Duck sells children’s toys from European companies. According to their website, they are offering 30% off (code 200897). Says “Final Clearance” which might mean going out of business, so you may want to contact them before making a large purchase and asking about their return policy.
I really like these toys because they are made mostly in places like Germany and France. Normally, I get my European toys from places like Landbridge Toys, but at 30% off, this is hard to beat.

Are you a parent with a child between the ages of 6 and 10 years old?
You can receive up to $200 for participating in the Parenting Research Study. Study activities can be completed online, in the comfort of your own home.
What’s Involved?
There is a two step process if you would like to participate.
Step 1: Answer all of the 25 questions on the following pages to determine if you pre-qualify for the study.
Step 2: If you pre-qualify, a study representative will email you a link to a second questionnaire with 10 brief final questions to determine your eligibility.
The activities involved once the study starts (late March):
