For those who didn’t get into the price mistake Walgreen’s Pepsi deal…

Information from the San Jose Mercury News flyers in today’s paper with prices starting tomorrow, Wednesday.

Lucky Supermarket has Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Sierra Mist at 4 12-packs for $10

Using the Manufacturer’s Coupon that was in the weekend’s Long’s Drugs flyer or from the flyer available as one enters most of their stores you can get an additional 12-pack FREE. Look at the bottom of page 20 of the flyer. The coupon expires 9/1/2007.

Thus: $2 per 12-pack

If you get the manufacturer’s coupon from the PW Markets flyer (bottom of front page) in today’s paper or from the lobby of the market, you can perhaps use it with the above (or perhaps Nob Hill as below) and get the 5 12-packs for $8. This would involve TWO coupons but both are manufacturer’s and nothing that I read in the fine print says you can’t use different coupons together.

Other possibilities are:

Nob Hill which advertises “Buy four 12-packs, get $5 off.” The price is 2 12-packs for $7.50. Thus, you’d get an additional 12-pack with the coupon and again have 5 12-packs for $10. Again, possibly use the PW Markets $2 off coupon to get them for $8.

PW Markets advertises 4 12-packs for $12 less $2.00 with a manufacturer’s coupon for $2.00 Off when you buy any 4 12-packs which equals $10 and IF they will also take the other coupon for the additional free 12 pack you are again at $10 for 5-12 packs. (You are already using the $2 off coupon to get them for $10 instead of $12.)

Albertsons has no flyer in our paper today. Strange since we usually have one with the rest of the ads. Perhaps it got missed in our paper.

Big Lots has 12 oz bags of Bear Naked Peanut Butter and Jelly granola for $2.88. It looks like they are discontinuing this flavor since they don’t even have it listed on their website anymore. Not my favorite one from their line but decent enough for the price. Also if you want to stock up and buy 10 bags (30 points) you can get a free t-shirt from Bear Naked - you don’t even pay for s&h.

There’s about 6 threads now that all basically contain variations on the same deal. I hope the mods are okay with this, but if not, feel free to lock it. While these deals are set to go on for a while, I’m not sure if they will allow the stacking of the deals to go on, allowing for the larger then intended (I guess) discounts.

Right now, Amazon is running a 3 free HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Disc Promotion w/ a purchase of the appropriate player. It says Toshiba & Sony Set Top players respectively, as well as the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Add-on & the PS3.

What makes this deal so attractive, is there is another deal going on that is a buy 2, get the 3rd free deal, that STACKS with the previous deal above. So basically, you get the cheapest Disc’s price off of any device you buy.

Finally, if you had purchased 3 HD-DVD/Blu-Ray discs in a single order, an HD TV, or HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Player of any type earlier, you may have been eligible for a 10% discount on all HD type discs. This ALSO stacks.

So, that all said, here’s how the deal works.

Cost of Player + Cost of 3 Discs - Cost of 3 Discs - Cost of the Cheapest Disc - (if eligible) 10% the cost of the 3 discs.

You must keep it in the same line of drives. IE, PS3 means buy Blu-Ray discs. Also, the pool for the buy 2 get the 3rd free is smaller then the pool for the 3 free discs w/ a player; so you have to watch which disks you buy, to get the best possible price.

The highest cost of any disc you can use is $27.99 (that I have seen), which means, the most you can get off any player is $36.39 ($27.99 + 10% of (3 x $27.99) $8.40). ; beyond the free discs (and the MIR for 5 free discs also available for those players). Some players (the Xbox 360 addon) also include free movies as well. In a new twist, if you buy 2 players under different deals (Ie, 1 Blu-Ray set-top player & 1 PS3, or the Xbox 360 & a Toshiba HD-DvD player), you will receive a double discount for the free movies. This would increase your maxium discount to $120.36. This will not work if you buy 2 players in the same category; one must be part of the game system, and the other must be a stand alone player. You may only be eligible for 5 free discs on the MIR (instead of 10), with both being on the same receipt, unsure on that.

Subject pretty much says it all. We just bought four, they all test fine, replacing some Belkins that failed over the years. There are better models but for the price is hard to beat to get real AVR and a cute LCD screen. Not as good as the dead Amazon deal from a while back, but at least no shipping.

I was looking to pick up Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 for the PC since it was released today… Noticed that Circuit City has it for $39.99-$10 instant savings, making it $29.99 out the door. I checked Bestbuy.com and a few other places and they are selling it at regular price.

While that is a good enough deal, you may be able to go to another place like BB and PM to CC to get the game for around $27 + tax… Seems like a good deal to me!
