We’re sure today’s Reactor Critical Mass Chronograph Watch is a fine piece o’ timepiece, but isn’t that name - “Reactor Critical Mass” - uncomfortably redolent of a catastrophic nuclear meltdown? And, hmmm, they really make a big deal about its durable joints and impact-resistant glass and indestructible stainless steel body…could it be that Reactor designed this watch for use in a cut-throat atomic dystopia, where the shattered remnants of the human race battle horrific mutants, highway pirates, and each other over the irradiated leavings of our vanished society? Yeah, probably. So how will other woots fare after the bomb drops?
Show us how a past or current woot would be different in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Maybe your woot has been modified by the few remaining humans to better serve the unique needs of the post-apocalyptic lifestyle. Maybe it mutated to grow to an enormous size. Maybe you grew to an enormous size. Maybe it sprouted new limbs or spontaneously generated a sentient consciousness. A lot of things can happen when you mix woots with nuclear warfare - all of them fun, fun, fun!
Post your entry here by 11:59 PM CDT on Sunday, July 29, 2007.
Prizes are $20/$50/$100 for 3rd/2nd/1st. The rules and criteria for
winning: our panel of geniuses can and will make stuff up as it goes
along. Use Photoshop, pen and ink, collage, MSPaint, scrimshaw carving,
tattoos, ice sculpture, whatever, but it’ll only be judged if it’s
visible in our forums as a jpg, gif, or png. As we are fond of saying, try to keep your maximum
width to 450px. If you need a place to host your pictures, try www.imageshack.ws or www.photobucket.com.
We have no connection to either, but they seem free and easy to use.
And if you want us to be sure your entry was indeed your work, post
links to your source images. The more sure we are that you did your own
work, the more likely we are to consider it for a prize.
Past money winners:
If you’d like to nominate any entries from this week’s contest, email
your selections (with links to each individual post) to Jason Toon at jtoon@woot.com by noon CDT on Monday, July 30.

Today, I stumbled upon a CircuitCity link for the Canon A570IS. It is listed as just the A570, but the price and description is for the A570IS with the Image Stabilizer, and sale price is $229 down from $250. When you put it in your sale cart to see the final price, it goes down to $193.
I brought this to the attention of CompUSA, and they agreed to price match it IF and ONLY IF the local CircuitCity had it in stock. I knew my CircuitCity was out. Lucky for me, CircuitCity was too busy to answer their phone, so the manager went ahead and gave me the price match. Very YMMV!!! On top of that, they are promoting until August 4th a special, where if they have to price match a digital camera price, they will instantly give you a $15 gift card. This is only until August 4th. I bought this at the local Wichita, KS store on North Rock Road. Like I said, this is very YMMV!!!!
This is the link for the CircuitCity price at $193.99. Remember to click “see sale price in cart”. Otherwise, price is still $229.
Link to Canon A570IS from CircuitCity
This is a pretty good deal for this 7.1MP Canon digital camera with optical image stabilization and the digic III processor.
PEACE!!!

This is the best price that I have ever seen on this stuff. It is a larger size then the stretch island brand. Great flavor also. They have this brand at Trader Joes for .35 each. This deal brings them to .19 each.
They have the Kid Size = .7oz and the Adult Size = 1.4oz. and the Organic ones.
Here is how to get the deal. Put 2 in your cart total more then $29. Apply code FRUITLE6 and get $10 off instantly.

In Albertsons, they had a stack of mini soft white 60 or 100 soft white fluorescent bulbs-3 per pack with the 10 for $10 deal. Purchased out of San Dimas store, sponsered by So Cal Edison
Color Temp 2700 Kelvins on the 60s and 100s, made by Lights of America
Did not find out when sale ends, probably Tuesday.
They were off to the side of the checkout stands in the front
I also think the flourescents are a little dimmer, but per GE website, you can use a higher flourescent bulb to replace the old style bulb, ex. put a 100 Watt replacement flourescent into a 60 watt max fixture since the 100 Watt replacement only uses 43 Watts.
What compact fluorescent light bulb do I buy to replace an incandescent (regular) bulb? Standard Bulb CFL Bulb 60w = 13w-15w 75w = 20w 100w = 26w-29w 150w = 38w-42w Because the wattage of a CFL bulb is much lower than that of an incandescent, you can use higher wattage CFL giving you the equivalent light of a higher wattage incandescent. For example: If your fixture says not to exceed 60 watts, you can use a 15 watt CFL to get the same amount of light as an incandescent bulb or use up to a 42 watt CFL and increase the amount of light.

The Mills Pride Cabinets that you assemble have finally gone below 50% off. It equals 87.5% off. The store on Cleveland Ave. is the only one in Columbus that has these cabinets now.
They have and amazing number of doors in all styles, good number of bases in champagne and white, though almost no wall cabinets.

There was a thread on SD about the Rebel XT @ OD for $399 on clearance. I printed up the webpage showing the price & zip code of our area and brought it to Sears. Salesman approved the pricematch right away $699 - $330 (110% pricematch) = $369.99 + tax.
This is of course YMMV as it depends on if your Sears will honor the clearance price at OD. Thankfully mine did.

During last year’s holiday season, one of the hot items we featured was a gift-boxed, full size Romeo y Julieta ceramic ashtray along with an assortment of 12 delicious cigars, in 5 different sizes. These were definitely a hit, but we still have quite a few left and we really need some more room in our warehouse. So…we are going to offer the remainder of our inventory to you at an incredible closeout price in order to free up some space.
Just this ashtray alone should sell for thirty bucks, BUT IT’S NOT ALONE! Inside each ashtray gift box you’ll find over 90 bucks worth of cigars, including the Romeo Original 1875, the Romeo Reserva Real, the Romeo Reserve Maduro, and the Romeo Vintage. That’s a dozen scrumptious Romeos and a large attractive ashtray for an unbelievably low price! Available in 5 sizes:

Other HBO series were not included such as Entourage, Six Feet Under, and Big Love. this is the same headset as the previous kyocera direct deal, but even cheaper with free shipping and google checkout instant rebate (after which it’ll be 19.99!). I got a pair of these and they work very well, with impeccable build quality. It’s also stylishly designed IMHO. At the price, there’s just no competition that I know of.
