Acer laptop Santa Rosa/Core 2 Duo 1.5GHz/8600M GT/2GB DDR2/160GB HDD/HD-DVD/HDMI/subwoofer $1099 at Best Buy online

Doesn’t anyone else think this is a pretty good deal?

Acer Aspire Notebook with Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology
Model: AS5920-6313

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8391901&st=AS5920-6313&type=product&id=1179876462320

$1099.99 for a Santa Rosa-based Core 2 Duo w/2GB, 160GB, HDMI, HD-DVD, subwoofer, Dolby Surround, and a DX10 256MB 8600M GT - sign me up! (Wish the CPU was faster than 1.5GHz, but it should suffice.)

Regular price is $1299.99, but it’s $200 off instantly for 7/1-7/7. Comparably-configured system through Dell is ~$1500.

I saw the machine on display at the store, and the two-tone color actually is aesthetically pleasing, as are the curves.

Review of the higher-end $2000 2.0GHz version:

http://www.trustedreviews.com/notebooks/review/2007/05/31/Acer-Aspire-5920/p1

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of thinking that the best laptop for ~$1000 just last week was an Asus F3T w/Turion 64 X2 TL56 1.8GHz, 1GB, 120GB, DX9 GeForce GO 7600. Premature purchase! I’d rather have this Acer that’s on sale at Best Buy!

The other unfortunate thing is that it’s so new, there’s no in-store stock along the West Coast. (At least according to their website.)

I wish I could do my purchase over…sigh… Too bad Newegg doesn’t take returns on laptops…I’d even be willing to take the hit on a restock fee just to get this Acer…

Coupon Code for 25% off: 32dbfc

I personally bit on this the first time they had this deal 2 weeks ago. I have to say shirts do look nice but my girlfriend said they run a bit small. We bought a medium and she could definitely use a large. I just ordered 2 sets this time one size Large and one XL just in case. We received email on Saturday night with discount code along with 2 codes for sometime this week for a watch and jewelry for 10% off. This coupon lets you take 25% off shirts. Came out to $28.60 for 8 Shirts. We only need 4 but just to be sure I spent for extra 4 shirts. Great deal. It would be even better if they took returns this way I wont be left with 8 extra shirts. Either way a great deal.

Text from site about deal:
The fashionistas at Shnoop are here with another one of their sickening summer cheer to offer you a solution. FOUR–YES, ONE TWO THREE FOUR - NEW Women’s Retrofox Striped Cotton Pique Polo Shirts Random Blowout so you can kick off the impending summer heat in style.
Your eyes are not tricking you. The price you see is correct. These designer label, collared five button shirts are a comfortable, lightweight way to play out the summer in style and beat the heat. Features classic cut, yet feels like you’re wearing your favorite t-shirt. Wearing these shirts will definitely make you feel cool and hip, the colors are pretty, and if you are a real cheapskate, you can buy them, and give away one or two for gifts. Or you can actually give a whole set to someone you care about with a handwritten note saying “Here’s to summer love!” or something Hallmark-ey and nauseating like that.
Don’t be selfish and please tell a friend or even two, post this in your favorite blog and others will be glad you did because this shnoop.com exclusive offer is not being offered elsewhere.
Each purchase is for four (4) Polo shirts. That’s right. You get 4 shirts for just $12.99!!! WalMart’s got nothing on us. All you do is pick your size, and we randomly select four of the six available style that are displayed in the image above. Each order of 4 shirts is for one (1) size only. Want more than one size? Go ahead and purchase a second size. At these prices, you’d have to be insane to let it pass.
*Please note: We’d probably look really funny and awkward if we were to model these shirts ourselves and check for the accuracy of the sizing on the label. However, based on the feedback we’ve received in the past, we’d like to point out that these shirts are probably fitted. As such, please choose the size accordingly. For $3.25 a shirt, how can you go wrong???
The fine print:
* 100% Cotton Women Pique Polo Shirts
* All shirts are brand new, and include original tags and labels
* Each purchase is for FOUR (4) random styles that will be picked from the selection displayed in the image
* Available sizes are XS, S, M, L & XL
* Shirt styles are being sold randomly. Buyer can only specify desired size.
* Womens shirts only (Sorry Guys)
* These are shirts that sell for alot more at major department stores
* Please click on image to enlarge for detail

WOOT! New ATI Radeon X600SE 128mb PCI Express Video Card $25 shipped

One-Card Monty
The way a Cro-Magnon man sees it, the $20 ATI Radeon X600SE 128mb PCI Express Video Card does everything a fancy $200 card does. Our protohuman pal wouldnt trouble himself with arcane minutiae like vertex shaders and contour fluency or computers, for that matter. Hed look over the Radeon X600SE, either clutch the shiny bauble to his chest or fling it away in superstitious terror, and go on about his nasty, brutish, short life.

Theres much to envy in the relaxed Cro-Magnon approach to video cards. For one thing, its cheaper. A pampered modern hom0 like you might simper about how the ATI Radeon X600SE 128mb PCI Express Video Card probably isnt that much of an upgrade over your onboard video, and how it cant play the latest games at the highest levels of graphics quality, and so you simply must spend a few days wages on a more expensive option.

Hey, whatever tweaks your pixels. But consider this: while youre oohing and aahing over marginally more convincing on-screen blood-splatters, that Cro-Magnon is having a hot time in the old town with all the money he saved, supping upon the finest raw meat, bludgeoning his enemies with the latest and l33t35t club, and slipping dollar bills into the loincloths of prehistoric exotic dancers. Whos the advanced one here?
Warranty: 90 days

Features:

* Native x16 lane PCI Express
* Double the bandwidth of AGP 8X
* Increased memory bandwidth to 12 Gigabytes/sec.
* Four extreme parallel 3D rendering pixel pipelines
* Two programmable vertex shader pipelines
* 128-bit memory interface supporting 128MB DDR1 memory
* Full DirectX 9 support
* Includes DVI-to-VGA adapter

POWERCOLOR X1550 256/64DDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card *Small Form Factor* Retail $40.98 shipped AR ($25) @ Newegg

1 July, 2007 (23:58) | Deals, Fat Wallet | No comments

Rating: 0 Posted By: Fliptech
Views: 6 Replies: 0

This is a PCI-Express X16 Radeon X1550 card. Probably in a Small Form Factor. I say this because it’s not explicitly stated, and one of the reviewers apparently received a 512MB card instead, though there are only 3 unique reviews in total.

Ordered one of these for my C521 from last month’s Dell Home/EPP bargain. (Will let you know how it goes. Hopefully getting Tuesday)

The description does not specify Small Form Factor and the product page doesn’t say either way either. However the pictures on both the Newegg page and the Powercolor Page show your typical half-height board w/ cabled VGA port.

You will need a bracket kit to fit into the smaller case of a C521/HTPC/etc. Newegg has one here for $6.99 plus small shipping S&H (if you combine your purchase)

Rebate is good for the whole month of July.

$60.99 - $25 MIR + $4.99 shipping = $40.98

Went to OD today and saw this in the cirular, it was in the clearance section and there was only one left at that store. So I swooped it up, it is pretty hot for me because the manager hooked up a surge protector for free. Its a pretty good TV.I am in San Diego so i am not sure if this is just a regional deal, but it is pretty hot because thwe lowest price I found it for was $969 and you had to wate for some rebates.

i was looking for a cheap TV stand for my Plasma Panny 42″. I saw this Silver Stand for $29.99 (original more than $200) last night and found only 1 store close by has it, so I ordered for in store pick up.
This morning I got email said item not available. So, I called in the 888 best buy number and talk to one of the sale agent, asking to see if they can deliver the item ( the email mentions since item not available for pick-up, you can get free UPS ground shipping). The agent told me they don’t have it in stock for deliver neither. He then asked if I interest in another one, I asked if he would give me same deal on pricing to replace the item, and he said yes. He gave me black for $29.99, or black corner for $29.99 (original more than $150). I asked if i can take this rosewood maple/black, he agreed. I went to pick it up, just finished assemble the item. I am please with it, the unit looks nice, and is selling for over $200 on other website.

remember YMMV.
